The General Secretary of the National Evangelical Synod of Syria & Lebanon (NESSL) – Rev. Joseph Kassab welcomed a high ranking delegation from the Uniting Church of Australia (UCA), led by the President of the Church, Rev Stuart McMillan, and Mr. Rob Floyd, National Director, Uniting World, Rev. Gaby Kobrossi – Chair, Middle East National Conference, Rev. Krikor Youmoushakian -Treasurer, Middle East National Conference, Rev. Emanuel Audisho – Multicultural Consultant, Western Australia Synod.
From NESSL joined Preacher Najla Kassab, Rev. Adeeb Awad, Rev. George Mrad, and Rev Suhiel Saoud.
Rev McMillan explained that the purpose of the visit is to be with the NESSL as a symbol of their solidarity. He explained first the formation of the UCA, its structure, expansion, and ministry; the discussions focused on the importance of education and the role of the Christian school in influencing societies, and the prospects of cooperation between NESSL & UCA.
NESSL General Secretary expounded to the guests the NESSL Relief Program in Syria, emphasizing the role of the school in building future sound societies.
